Fellow coworker Roxanne Kotzman (she does our green spirited blog) was so kind in sending me some info on a really unique cat toilet. Recently I've been trying to do my part in being eco-friendly and that includes feeding my pets more organic food (though the prescription diet I now have to feed marcie...that's another blog entry... isn't organic) and using an eco-friendly litter such as Swheat Scoop.

Here's an excerpt from treehugger.com:

Normally we do not advocate buying a new appliance to fill one specific need, but we do think the CatGenie, despite using water and chemicals to biodegrade cat feces, may be a better solution to your cat's litter box. For cats, says the company, "it's a roomy cat box filled with fresh, clean litter-size granules that are comfy for digging and covering.

hmmmm...

I'd definitely try it if I didn't have such a dinky bathroom (dinky isn't even the proper way to describe it). Plus it's pretty price (almost $300 on amazon). But if you've got the money and the room I say go for it!

There's a demo video on the link (check it out) but I thought I'd find another funny video. Here's Pete the cat watching the CatGenie flushing down his business! Enjoy!
