Arizona State is 4-4 but that includes a 24-17 victory over Washington.
That was an amazing game because Washington defensive coordinator Nick Holt ran a Cover 3 defense in the final seconds when 99 percent of the defensive coordinators in the country would run a Cover 4.
And that meant the Sun Devils had a wide receiver completely uncovered as they scored on a long TD at the end of the game.

I live in Arizona and ASU has been good on defense and pretty weak on offense. They played Georgia close on the road and if their All American field goal kicker wasn't injured they would have won that game. Their QB is weak. If he has time in the pocket he has a pretty good arm.
Vontaze Burfict is being compared to Ray Lewis. He will be the top linebacker in the Pac 10 in one or two years.

Hey Wolf....how many people did you ask before you got one of your "sources" to explain the Cover 3 and Cover 4 defenses. It's too late to try to convince us you know anything about football...and basketball is coming up, and you know even less about that sport.

Your Cover 3 vs Cover 4 argument is weak. You continually bash CPC for playing soft at the end of games and then come on and bash NH for being "aggressive. If the Huskies were in Cover 3 on that play, I bet Holt was blitzing someone, maybe even one of the safeties and probably a LB too. So, the Receiver was "covered" as the corners were covering the deepest threat from sideline to hash, and the safety covers between the hashes. It's very common and is effective, even against an empty backfield.

The TRUTH is that ASU made a great play, avoided the rush, passed the ball down the field and the receiver made the play. Give credit instead of ALWAYS finding fault.

Just like last week. The DUCKS executed and won because they were the better team and better prepared that day. By always finding fault, you discount what others DID do, and that is cheap.

Congrats again Ducks and HUSKIES.

Fight On!
Beat the Sun Devils.

HAHAHAHA. OMG I almost wet myself when I saw you write that 99% of DCs would have used a Cover 4. You don't even know what that means Scott! Are you serious?!?!
