About Orgeron
Pete Carroll said he spoke to former USC defensive line coach Ed Orgeron but did not offer him the defensive coordinator's job.
``I did talk to Ed in case it didn't work out with the other guys,'' Carroll said. ``I talked to a lot of guys. This is a pretty popular job.''

" I talked to Ed about the job but I settled on Jethro instead. " OK
He should've offered Coach O the job. World class defensive line coaches don't come around everyday, no matter what Petey thinks.
FIGHT ON!
Jethro got the D-line coaching job not the DC, which is the job Orgeron was being considered for. In any event, its kind of tough second guessing PC after all of the success he's had at USC.
For once I agree with Bite me.
I am disappointed that Pete Carroll did not bring Ed Orgeron back; he is a dynamic recruiter & solid D-Line coach. I am really surprised by this hire, didn't PC fire Franklin right after the National Championship game with Texas because the D-line wasn't aligned properly throughout the game & especially when Texas was kicking their last extra point with less than a minute left to go. For some reason Franklin called time out to make sure we were set, thus burning our last time out! I sure hope Franklin is a great coach and can develop our young / talented D-line group.
