USC wide receiver Vidal Hazelton has decided to transfer, according to sources inside the athletic dept. Hazelton will not be at football practice today. That's too bad..I hope he finds a school that he's comfortable at and can play and be an impact player as we all know he wants to do and can become.
It sucks to see a great talent like Vidal leave but oh well, Ausberry, Williams, Carswell, Butler, and Patterson will be just fine next year without him.

My bet is hes going to Penn State-his dad wanted him there in the first place, its close to home, AND they graduate a great crop of recievers this year so after sitting out he could step right in and play in the Slow-10..i meant Big10

Does anyone think with the VH and BG transfers that this could affect our East Coast recruiting? Potential recruits out East can see these stud 4/5 star guys just not making it out here and with ZERO playing they leave. For an 18 yr old kid to decide for one to leave his family 1000+ miles and head west is a big deal, not to mention the anxiety of not knowing if within a year or 2 he'd ever see the field.

First let me say that I am bummed that Vidal is transferring. I think he has a world of talent and has a great future a head of himself.

The Coach has brought up a really question on whether or not the transfer of Vidal & BG (and previously Moody) will affect East Coast/Southern area recruiting. It will be interesting to see if PC and the staff can solidify the recruitment of Alshon Jeffery, out South Carolina.

Like him or not, say what you will, with Lane now in Rocky Top, that will be another obstacle that the Trojan recruiting will have to deal with in that region.

Coach also brought the fact that the Trojans still have Ausberry, Williams, Carswell, Butler, and Patterson for next season. Add to that, the possibility of Devon Flourney, Jeffery and maybe, just may be Randall Carroll. And who knows who else PC is looking at.

Good luck to Vidal, where ever he lands.

Fight on!
