Conference Favorite?

Oregon State will probably lose to Utah this Saturday, but are the Beavers In the driver's seat in the Pac-10? In October, their only league games are against Washington State and Washington and when they play the better Pac-10 teams - Arizona State, Cal and Oregon -they are at home.

FYI...
The OSU vs. Utah game is on Thursday at 6pm PST, not on Saturday.

Actually I do not think that would be such a bad thing. If Oregon State wins the remainder of their Pac 10 games and SC wins out, SC would likely be in another BCS Bowl game with probably a more intriguing match up. I really do not care to see a Rose Bowl SC- Ohio State rematch.

I don't think the BCS would invite a team that didn't win their own conference. If USC wins out and Oregon State drops two games the Beavers could still finish second, which would send them to the Rose Bowl if USC went to the Championship game.

LOL, who thinks SC will win out ?? I can see them losing 2 more games, one this weekend in fact and then one of the following CAL, ASU or at UA. Hell, they might even do a 2006 and gag to fugly

Why is Oregon Stat the conference favorite when they already have a conference loss and there are 4 teams in the Pac 10(Oregon, Cal, ASU, and Arizona) who dont? Shouldn't one of them be the favoirte?

Not so fast Mr. Gilbert. Do you remember 2004 when Texas faced Michigan in the RB? Cal got snubbed. I raised that same point three weeks ago. I bet that if USC goes to the NC against Alabama or Georgia then the Rose Bowl could be PSU or OSU against Texas or Oklahoma. Furthermore one or more of those remaining teams will then go to the Fiesta Bowl.
Stay tuned!
