"Former USC coach Larry Smith was fired when he made a similar comment in 1992"

Talk about a non sequitur, that statement had nothing to do with getting fired; losing games did. In related news, Larry Smith had KFC the week he was fired. I guess Pete Carrol had better avoid the colonel's extra crispy, huh?

Come on Scott, you're better than that. You're not? Okay, then let's get someone who is.

Fight on!

PS. You're absolutely correct. Great call on Georgia as #1. You've now made all of us SC believers look totally and completely stupid. You're gloating period will last... never mind. It's already over.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
