Q: My question, it appears to me that the defense is going to be great again this year, even though there are new starters up front. But on offense, I think our success will ride on how much improvement we get out of the receiving corp. What's your take on how much we can expect the receiving corp to improve?
A: There's potential for a lot of improvement with guys like Vidal Hazelton and the addition of Damian Williams. But that's still ``potential'' improvement and means it remains a question mark. But one of those two guys needs to step up and have a big season for the offense to be near the same level as the defense, unless Joe McKnight somehow becomes a dominating player.
Q: Scott, in the above linked Nov'07 interview with SG Coach Nelson, she said in reference to PC's affect on her that he "pushes me to constantly be innovative, to create change and come up with new ideas, as well as trying to keep the tradition and pride alive." Can you identify any ways in which the SG program has been innovative, come up with new ideas, sustained tradition and pride, or created positive change?
A: No. Everyone likes to claim they are influenced by Pete Carroll. It's a good political response.
