Nelson, Drago cleared; Morgan suspended
UCLA freshman forward Reeves Nelson was medically cleared to play in UCLA's regular season-ending roadtrip this weekennd at Arizona and Arizona State. Nelson had retinal surgery on Feb. 22 to replace a retinal tear in his left eye. He was fitted for eyewear and practiced today in his new goggles.
UCLA senior forward Nikola Dragovic, meanwhile, practiced today without issue after playing through a sprained ankle and sore shoulder that required a pre-game shot on Saturday.
Also, sophomore center J'mison was suspended for the Arizona game for a violation of team rules.

Was a 'violation of team rules' sassing back to the coach??? I was relieving myself at the time and missed the whole brouhaha, but if J'mison talked back to the coach, I'd be the first to set him straight. Nobody messes with the coach. Nobody!!!
I guess BoBo transferring after this year haha Josh Smith , Stover FTW
So whatever J'mison did was worse than Dragovic's assault.
blotter. You probably meant to say "alleged" assault. Nothing has been proven.
The whole irony of those charges is that Dragovic filed the complaint and he gets charged by an over zealous assistant DA who graduated from USC.
any idea what this violation of team rules was?
frankly i wouldn't be surprised if it WERE a u$c grad in the DA's office that filed the case but no one has been mentioned in the papers. HOWEVER, i have to call BS unless you can supply the name of the DA involved.
"BoBo" must mean "bust" in a local southern dialect.
So what did the surgeon replace his retinal tear with? Anothor tear?
rotfl.
Sad state of affairs at UCLA.
Given the recent character issues with our players, I would suggest the coaches make character a larger piece of the player analysis during recruiting.
Mr Morgan clearly did not show good judgement given that this may have been his chance to showcase his value to the team.
You are right. it's a shame to see an over-zealous DA go after an individual just to make a name for himself. I bet even after he gets cleared of criminal charges by a jury of his peers people from another local school will still pathetically claim he's guilty.
It's nice to see a Bruin would never consider doing such a thing.
