Howland On:
Assorted quotes from Tuesday's press conference:
On what is plaguing UCLA:
"The biggest thing for us right now is not turning the ball over. You go back and watch the game against USC, and our half-court defense was pretty decent, but they scored a lot of points off of our turnovers. I think we lead the conference in turnovers, and that's obviously a big issue. Twenty turnovers is a lot to overcome."
On Dragovic and Nelson combining for 29 points in wins and 17.8 points in losses:
"When we win they play well and score well so it's very important to get them off to good starts. Most of Nikola's scoring comes on jump shots, where Reeves is all around the basket, and we have to continue to feed him the ball in there."
On depth:
"Bobo's going to get a chance to play more. We can't obviously afford any more injuries. That would be difficult.
On the first Washington State game:
"We played good defense and we executed well offensively. But our defense, that was the second time we committed to playing zone the whole time."
On having a short week and what they hope to accomplish:
"For us, playing Sunday does shorten the week - we'll practice today and tomorrow morning, then we leave tomorrow afternoon for the long trip to Pullman from Seattle to Spokane and bussing over. We want to continue to work on attacking better offensively without turning the ball over. They played some 2-3 zone the first time, and I think it will be primarily man to man."

Jon, thanks for attending the press conference since you didn't attend the last time UCLA lost to USC. Howland gave some insight on this weeks games and who may get more playing time.
