Quotables: Norm Chow
On the overall game:
"We're obviously very disappointed. Thought we did OK in the first half, thought we were going to come out pretty good in the second half, made what I thought were some decent adjustments, and it went south' on us. Then it's tough to play when you're behind."
On whether starting Kevin Prince was the right move in hindsight:
"I don't have hindsight. He gives us the best chance to win."
On Richard Brehaut coming in:
"The head guy does a lot of that kind of stuff, just talk to him. Kevin was struggling. What he do? Throw a pick, have a fumble. We needed to make something happen."
On younger players earning more playing time:
"Damien certainly deserved a chance to play, and I thought we used some of the other guys too much last week - Terrence and Taylor played way too many plays."

ARROGANT!...wow now we know for sure...he wont even own up to his bad play calling since he thought the first half went "ok"...yikes!
Wow, is it just me or do these comments sound filled with resentment? I hope NC and CRN relations aren't as bad as they seem to be. Sounds like Norm didn't want Brehaut to come in but Rick overruled him.
We need wins to pull this ship together.
agreed.
"The head guy does a lot of that kind of stuff, just talk to him."
Yikes. NC does seem a little too cock-sure given the inability of our offense, and his refusal to acknowledge shoddy playcalling. Without the athletes he had over in south central, i think he's seeing just how difficult it is to run a west coast offense.
We need strong recruiting classes, obviously, but until then we NEED to adjust our offense to fit the athletes we have NOW. I understand this was never going to be "our year," but that doesn't excuse us from losing winnable games.
I am shocked, stunned and completely flabbergasted that you failed to ask either Neu or Norm about the debacle
on the goal line in the first half. Im a loyal Bruin fan
and have been for years but you seem to be a a homer when it comes to asking the tough questions to the guys in charge
Or, what could have happened, is we asked and got canned answers.
what's up with the attitude Norm? looks like the players are getting chewed out on a reg basis on the sideline so you too should have to answer the tuff questions when the offense looks pathetic. Why not throw the ball to one of pretty good tight ends near the goal line?
Man i'm so tired of rebuilding!! every year the same old song.
Why do the keep running screens for slow guys like Embree and Paulson?
Run screens for Carroll, Franklin, and Thigpen!!!
The offensive line is getting worse, but they're still better than last year. They couldn't score from the 2 yard line, that's all on the offensive line.
Norm Chow has got next to no talent to work with and Neuheisel flip-flopping QB's doesn't help.
jon, i appreciate that you're bothering to respond to the comments. good stuff man! let's us know you care!
