Confidence in KP

| | Comments (6) |

Kevin Prince's debut has given UCLA reason to believe that playing at Tennessee won't rattle the freshman.
``I'm not really stressing about KP,'' said Kai Maiava. ``He's a really composed quarterback. He plays with a lot of confidence. He knows the playbook from front to back. He'll be able to make his reads and calls, and we'll go from there.''

lets hope the defense and running game get the job done so KP doesn't have to be a big factor. I wasn't very impressed with the way he played against SDS.

Prince did just fine in his debut after not having played football for 2 years. He admitted he got a bit too relaxed in the second half but there will be no such luxury on Saturday afternoon against the Vols.

From all accounts, he's a solid game manager, can make all the throws, is sufficiently mobile, and is only going to get better as the season goes on.

KP is probably a 3.75 to 4.0 QB -- on a 5 point scale. Better than the sub-3.0s we've ended up having in the recent past. Maybe they came in with higher expectations, but they ended up sub 3.0. RB is probably a 4.0 to a 4.5 QB on the same scale. The coaches see it. Isn't it clear to you that this is the case? So, KP needs to continue ti IMPROVE to stay one step ahead of RB. RB needs to keep nipping at his heels. In the long run, this will be genius by Chow and Rick as the QB position will be solid for several years. That will breed better and better QB recruits, which will trickle down to other O-skill players. And Voila! UCLA will be competitive on at least a conference level in a couple years!

some posters on here are really delusional. How can you say Brewhat is a "4.0 to a 4.5" on a 5 point scale? did you just pick that number out of your old barbecue grill? I guess you know better than the coaches.
