Brian, the most amazing thing is that we dont que testing. Here is one for you Brian, why not ask linn in the weightroom how a player like theriot is NOT being transferred to the turf. Brian. You have to dig in and ask questions. Theriot is most likely the best huge back on the team and YOU as a writer have to ask NOT ONE CARRY IN PRACTICE you are the last defense to figuring out why. And at the end of the day this Theriot mess will define why we as a major college program have not figured out how to define talent and we send athletes across the world. in the meantime we have theriot a decorated lore of an athlete and we as a program cannot give him one handoff in practice. Tell us why Brian. and here is the issue again....so you do not dodge it.....

He's right Brian. I mean, this guy would have been an All-American Heisman winner if only he was given a chance. We would go 12-0 every year, if only from the legacy of the God that is Theriot. In fact, I think we should rename the school the "UCLA THERIOTS" in all caps so everyone knows how godlike this young man is. I'm amazed his potential last year wasn't sufficient to get him to NYC for the Heisman ceremony--I mean, his potential is so much greater than that of everyone from Tim Tebow to Reggie Bush. In fact, I have heard he can play every position on the field--if only we played him as QB or, at worst, O-Line last year, we would have gone to a BCS game. I can't believe the coaching staff is so inept!!

I assume because Theriot is a blocking fullback the coaches thought it best to give the reps to the guys who would actually carry the ball in the game...insane, I know.

about 90% of that post didn't make any sense. it is grammatically and typographically incorrect and unreadable. a fullback should carry the ball once, maybe twice a game, if that. The only people that are clamoring for Dohn to ask questions about why Theriot doesn't see the ball during practice are Theriot and Bob Stevens. I think Bob Stevens might be his grandfather. i couldn't stop laughing at how crazy this man is. I'm sure Theriot is a nice kid, but he was a walk-on and this guy is touting him like the second coming of Mike Alstott. If he was the best player, I'm sure the coaches would play him. Parents (or grandparents) consistently have blinders on when it comes to their kids, and can't fathom that their son or daughter isn't the best, but this guy takes the cake.

i agree that this Bob Stevens sounds crazy but i kind of agree with him on the use of the FB position. We should go to them whether its Theriot or Moline atleast 4 times in a game. A nice wheel route out of the backfield will definately throw the Defense off and get postive yards on the play.

I enjoyed reading Bob Stevens (BS or Brian Theriot or James Hobbs) artfully written screeds. It is clear to anyone with one ounce of football 101 knowledge that BS really knows what he is talking about.

I also ask "How does a coach really know if a fullback can carry the ball through the line" if said fullback has NOT ONE CARRY IN PRACTICE? After all, Theriot can't be any worse than the running game the Bruins had last year with a Gimpy Bell, a Gimpy Markey, and an ineffective Chase Moline. For the foregoing reasons, I support BS' request, and also respectfully request that Sir Brian Dohn do a Special Investigative Report on this matter. It is time to release the decorated lore of an athelete that is Brian Theriot.

Sir BS, let me just add in a few short words that you would have made an excellent Barrister. Keep on advocating for Sir Theriot wherever your voice can be heard and wherever your words are read on the Internets. Fight for your right to 1 handoff.

Who is Trevor Theriot? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Bob Stevens tell it, anybody could have worked for Theriot. You never knew. That was his power. It is or it is NOT. We either have an issue or we dont. UCLA has never tested Theriot on one hand off in a game or practice. he is almost 2/10 faster than coleman and OKAY boys go to linn just go to linn and ask who our best all around strongest man is?

Trevor is a great blocking back. Agility and flexibility in his hips - he has not. Get him the ball through the air a few times a game and have him take out a few linebackers. Thats 'bout it.

Theriot has incredible hips and the Nike combine cones showed it. For the record...Bob Stevens is a NHHS alum graduated with Hal Sheflin and played in the game vs. Bonita and Glen Davis. I am old. But a strong supporter of OC athletes. Theriot's Dad? I doubt he has time for all of this and most of us only want a test to see what theriot can do. One carry in practice would do. ONE CARRY.
