Eddie Williams update

I spoke with Mt. SAC offensive lineman and UCLA signee Eddie Williams, and he said his plan is to enroll at UCLA June 21, when the first summer session begins.
He said he still has another week of school remaining, but he expects to get the necessary grades and be admitted to UCLA.
"it's been a long, tough road, having all this pressure on my back with school and life, work, friends family, bills,'' Williams said. "Like my coach would say, you prepare now for the rest of my life. It's been a long two years at the JUCO level. I can't wait to get to the next level."
Williams said he will enter UCLA at right guard, and will compete for the starting spot with Nick Ekbatani and Ryan Taylor.

Dare I be sold bold to ask, but if the young scholar Edward is having trouble passing classes at a JC, how in the world does he expect to pass classes at UCLA?

He'll be a WAC major...duh.

He will have a lot more help available to him.

Who said he was having trouble?

It's not about his grades. He had some kind of outstanding debt to that JC. Now how can you not afford $300 a semester at a JC?

Wrong guy the one that can't afford his transcripts is Warner

Javy said:

Wait.. Isnt Warner transferring?

Good for him and Warner if they get in! We can use the 300lb talent for sure. I am suprised he will be RT guard given that Taylor and Ekbatani are already there. Somewhat ironic they also are JUCO's.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
