Shawn Johnson and UCLA
I talked to College of the Canyons offensive lineman Shawn Johnson, a UCLA commit, recently and he said his plan is to be enrolled at UCLA in late June.
Johnson said his academics are progressing, and he is taking four classes this semester. He said he has received the necessary grades so far, and is looking forward to playing at UCLA.

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
More good OL news... maybe its time to give Bob Palcic his shoelaces back :-)
I get the feeling Neuheisel & Co will be happy if he doesn't qualify. Johnson was one of our first OL commits in mid-season when it was apparent that we were in desperate need of help. I think with the other commits, they're content.
wonder how he finds time to do all this stuff and still hit Dancing With the Stars? Hopefully his stalker won't show in Westwood with him.

spedjones was referring to the spunky gold medal gymnast currently on Dancing with the Stars. She had a stalker who was arrested on set. They found duct tape and other goodies in his car.
