Post-game injuries
In talking to several players, each one acknowledged UCLA point guard Darren Collison was playing in a lot of pain because of a bruised tailbone.
Even coach Ben Howland said having Collison play two straight days with the injury took its toll, although Collison refused to say that was the reason he scored four points, shot 1 of 9 from the field and turned the ball over seven times.
"I don't make excuses,'' Collison said.
He added that he thought having two days of rest would help him greatly in the recovery process.
UCLA center Drew Gordon was diagnosed with a bruised left knee and he is scheduled to have x-rays Saturday. When I talked to him (briefly) after the game, he was in a lot of pain.

DC should not have played as long as he did against WASU. UCLA had that game easily.
That's all the Pac 10 tourney is good for - player injuries. Remember Luc from last year?
Brian,
Why does Ben Howland think DC at 50% is better than his freshmen guards at 100%?
I noticed DC was struggling all night yet BH would not replace him. Why is this?
Jrue Holiday struggled offensively also. Crazy thing about UCLA is, at least last night, maybe they would have had a better shot with more of Lee and Anderson and less of Holiday and Collison. The talent level is amazing.
