Football injury

UCLA offensive lineman Mike Harris will be out two to three months after undergoing surgery to repair a broken right foot.
Harris broke the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot last week. He will not be available for spring practice, which could give Nate Chandler and Sean Sheller more reps at tackle.

So I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with those Adidas shoes. There must be a reason everyone is breaking their freaking "fifth metatarsal" pinky toes. Brian, can you look into this? I want to compare Nike shoes to Adidas and find out if broken toes are more common in Adidas shoes. I think you've got a story here...

BruinChick, you rock!!! That was a great article! Looks like CRN is at least looking into the problem. Hopefully, Adidas is dropped from our program. I remember when I played ball, I don't recall any of my teammates having these kind of injuries and we had some quick players that probably torqued the "hell" out their shoes....We should go "retro" with the 7 stud cleats....Old School Rules!
