Collison Q&A

| | Comments (16) |

I was taking care of a few things today so sorry for the infrequent posts. Here's this week's Q&A with Bruins point guard Darren Collison.

1. What's the best part of road trips, outside of the game?
Talking with my teammates. Josh (Shipp) is really funny. We talk about everything.

2. How would you improve Pauley Pavilion?
Ha. They got a new floor, but it's still hard. I think every new floor is soft, but their floor is really, really hard. So I would change the floor and make it soften, and now that we're in 2009, we can do that. The locker rooms, we're at UCLA and they're so compact. Widen the locker rooms a little more, but we do have a widescreen t.v.

3. Can you beat you mom (a former Olympic sprinter) in the 200 meters?
Now, I can. I haven't raced her since I was 7 or 8, but she can't beat me right now.

4. Could you beat me (Dohn) playing one-on-one if you played lefty?
You? Yeah, I could take you. Would you scored a basket? I'd feel sorry for you, so, yeah, I'd let you score a basket.

5. Who wins a game of horse, you or Michael Roll?
Me. He knows who the horse king is. You can ask him yourself.

6. Favorite Westwood restaurant?
There's only like two of them. I'll say B.J.'s. The chocolate chip bazookie. It's not a meal, but a good dessert.

7. Toughest arena to play in?
Out of all four years, I'd have to say Texas. It's pretty loud. Oregon gets loud, but Texas is about the same.

8. Who's in your i-pod?
Lil Wayne, Jay-z. Those are the only ones I need, the only ones I listen to. There's a whole bunch of other songs, but they're the only ones I care about.

9. Any funny Ben Howland stories?
Plenty. (Here is one from UCLA's delayed flight home after Oregon). I asked him a simple question because we were on the plane for like four hours before we got home. I was like, 'Coach, what's wrong with the plane?' You know how he gets so detailed on everything. He was like, 'We'll they've got to get the snow off.' But he said, 'The biggest thing is we're 2-0. You could have a knee injury, Josh Shipp's hip could be hurting.' He went on and on and gave me a Pac-10 preview about everything, and talked about all the other teams, and it was for about 10 minutes. It got to the point where I just went on my phone and started looking around.

I feel sorry for you guys. The REAL "pizookie" is at Oregano's in Arizona. B.J.'s version is a joke.

Nothing to do with Collison but a thought for the SC lovers on this blog...Moody's transfer to Florida was a great move. He knew SC isn't a national championship caliber program so he left for a school that is. Moody 1 SC 0.
