Keefe's confidence

| | Comments (1) |

James Keefe seems to have more confidence in his shot, which Ben Howland believes is attributed to being healthy following 2007 shoulder surgery.
``I'm sure he's more confident from the standpoint he's healthy,'' Howland said. ``He had a whole summer. He worked hard. I thought the last two games his confidence is really starting to build, especially with his shot. He's shooting the ball with much more quickness and taking the open shot when it's there and not thinking about it and knocking it down. He made some early shots against Northridge and Texas.''
Keefe is shooting 50 percent from the field.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
