Here's the first set of answers.

Q: Assuming Coach Walker leaves this off-season. Do you believe Coach Neuheisel will try and recruit Ken Norton Jr?
A: Yes, absolutely I believe he'll at least talk to him.

Q: The LA Times reported yesterday that DeWayne Walker's name was tied to LSU as well as other NFL posts. Have you heard anything beyond his discussions with SDSU and NMSU?
A: Let's just say Walker is pursuing head coaching opportunities right now, and LSU was looking for a defensive coordinator. Of course, Walker has been an assistant in the NFL before, and I believe it would be very easy for him to get another NFL job if that's what he wanted.

Q: Have you heard of any other coaches or players who might leave the UCLA FB program?
A: Not anything substantial.

Q: You are a Jane of all trades when it comes to covering DN sports. What is your favorite beat?
A: I prefer to think of myself as a Jill-of-all-trades. Goes better with the whole Jack and Jill thing anyway, don't you think? I really like covering football, baseball, golf and track, but I don't necessarily have a favorite. There's good and bad things about covering every sport. Hockey athletes generally seem to be more pleasant to the media, then say, baseball players.

Q: Could you beat Dohn in any athletic event?
A: Hmmm. Interesting. I'm sure I could find something but nothing comes to mind immediately. He's run a marathon faster than me. His golf game is better. He plays soccer, and I don't. I could probably beat him in a game of h-o-r-s-e on the basketball court. I bet I can ice skate better than him, too.

Q: Will the Kings ever make the playoffs again? We always hear about how much young talent they have, but it never turns into wins. When will it happen?
A: Doesn't seem like it will happen any time soon. They do have a lot of good, young players but they're the definition of inconsistent. I don't think changing the lines seemingly every other week and rotating the goalies is helping the Kings find continuity and a chemistry that's needed.

Q: You always mention that Milton Knox impresses you during practice. What does he do that is so impressive?
A: He's a tough kid. He makes good cuts. He's shown he's not an easy guy to tackle. Good quickness. Just look at his lower body and you can see how strong he is. If given the opportunity next season, he can gain an extra yard or two or three after first contact by continuing to move keep his legs and feet moving.
