Tuesday's morning practice notes
QBs Kevin Craft and Chris Forcier took nearly every one of the reps during the morning practice (Osaar Rasshan took a few), and Craft was much more impressive.
In fact, UCLA began its red-zone offense practice today, and Craft complete his first three passes and looked sharp. Meanwhile, Forcier fumbled his first snap and made a few bad throws, but did make a few plays with his scrambling ability.
RB Aundre Dean finally got some reps, and made one nice run on a cutback, but Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel said Dean was getting reps because Kahlil Bell was sitting out the morning practice.
MLB Reggie Carter is out at least until Friday with a concussion, so Steve Sloan got the reps with the first team.
Also, Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel said Jimmy Rotstein and Jeff Locke were vying for kickoff duties. I asked if PK Kai Forbath would be in the mix, and Neuheisel said he would.
By the way, former Bruins defensive lineman Kenneth Lombard is working with the defensive line as a student assistant.

Brian, when you say Craft was much more impressive, do you mean more impressive than Forcier (but not necessarily impressive)?
It seems like Craft has not had that lightbulb go on to date this fall. Has he shown any notable improvement over the last week plus?
Thanks,
