RT update

My sources at UCLA are encouraged and optimistic Diablo Valley CC offensive lineman Donovan Edwards will get the needed grades and qualify to attend UCLA, and be on campus in August for training camp.
The plan is for Edwards to contend for the starting right tackle spot, which was vacated when Sean Sheller suffered a season-ending knee injury in an off-road vehicle accident.
But UCLA will not know Edwards' status until late July, when his summer session ends.

Do you know what classes DE is taking? Are we talking about Calculus or Organic Chemistry?

Or is he just needing some credits and taking Matt's Lienert's Advanced Ballroom Dance class?

Any idea?

PB, Donovan is taking "ATV Operation 101" and "Offseason Protocal 101."

These are courses Sheller should have taken.

Hey VB-

The reason you get mistaken for a Trojan Troller is your constant negative commentary.

Why don't you let the Sheller incident go? This was a positive post about good news for the Bruins. Enjoy it!

VB said:

Fair enough. I'll lay off the poor lad. But let me say that my commentary is not always negative. I am actually very optimistic and happy about some current Bruin news. However, I am allowed to voice my opinion about things I think are ridiculous (i.e. the Sheller incident). But given the fact that I have made my point of view abundantly clear on this issue, I will refrane from making any more defamatory comments about Sheller.

Maybe everyone would take your comments seriously if you could spell. Makes me think you really are a Trojan and I should know, I work with them.

Hey VB, the accident happened while he was on what many think of as a modified golf cart. So, if he happened to be out with his dad playing a round of golf and the cart they were riding in tipped over in a freak accident, would you still be so ruffled? These things happen.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
