Yeah, he made two shots yesterday. But we need him to play some D, at least stay in front of Price, I understand Williams is going to destroy him, but can you at least defend their backup.

I agree, work on that defense and Farmar's got the potential to be a solid backup in the NBA. Especially if he sticks in a Phil Jackson-type system.

Defense has never been a big part of his game but at least he should realize that he can't play as close to his man and should instead concede the lower percentage jumper instead of allowing for the easy dribble drive blow by. That makes the rest of the team scramble to help out and usually results in a foul or an easy bucket since that frees up their man. His defense is literally atrocious. He looks completely helpless out there on an island when singled out against Deron or Price.

I think the cheers heard at Staples after his and-one play were more sighs of relief that he could at least contribute something positive for the team out there.

He has largely been a liability on both ends of the court in this series. Maybe last night was a wake-up call but something tells me that it was more a flash in the pan.

Maybe he should consider giving CBH a holler to get some defensive tips.

Color me overly-sentimental, but when Farmar made that first shot, I could FEEL his personal relief.

farmar has been pure dog woosh. his hang dog head down shoulder slump after getting beaten like a drum (again) screams "u...own....me."

is farmar even playing the same game as williams? farmar doesn't look like he belongs on the same court as dwill or even ai...

farmar is getting totally exposed in these playoffs.

expects teams to attack him mercilessly next year.

Nice to see the bandwagon fans come on board. Have you guys watched any Lakers and Farmar this season before the playoffs? It's a called a slump and they happen, especially with guys new in the league (even vets like Boozer). Yes, it's a bad time to have a slump but that is all this is.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
