Another Morgan article
Here's an article that was published in today's Advocate in Louisiana. It has comments from J'Mison Morgan's mom, who says Morgan is leaving. That makes three family members - J'Mison, brother Ronnie and mom Bianca - who all say J'Mison is requesting his release from LSU.

This Morgan story has drama written all over it.

This is

Drama = Trouble
Jill, as much as you can get into it, where is the drama here? If the entire family seems to be united behind J'Mison not attending LSU, it seems that letting him out of the letter of intent is the only place to go for LSU lest they suffer negative recruiting. What factors would make this situation more tense than it seems?
The Morgan family says it turned in an official release request on Sunday. LSU has yet to receive that (and it's Wednesday). Morgan said he wasn't sure if he'd stay when Trent Johnson was hired, then he said he'd stay, now he's saying he's leaving. LSU doesn't have to give him his release.
what are they doing over there at LSU, are they leaving the official release request on a desk somewhere acting like it doesn't exist?
Ah yessss.......the old "pocket veto"....
Didn't Pete Carroll prevent Emmanuel Moody from transferring to Oregon and if so, can LSU release J'Mison Morgan but limit the schools he can transfer to?
I believe they can but it is usually reserved to prevent them from transferring to a school in the same conference
With Johnson saying he does want Morgan with the program, I'll bet LSU will draw it out to try to convince Morgan one last time. I expect another final meeting.
However there is also a good chance that the more complicated this becomes, it could p!ss off the Morgans.
I ultimately see Morgan coming to UCLA because now that this drama is SO public, LSU would be perceived as the bad guy in this scenario if they try to tie Morgan to his loi.
Has anyone seen the scout.lsu board?,,,,it's all football so why should they care.
From what I understand from this article, the mom is upset that coach Trent Johnson hasn't called her son since they spoke a couple weeks ago. She says the coach needed to call them more often to show he wants them. She faults the coach for not returning their calls. The coach says he has tried calling but they never return his calls. "Bobo's" mom sounds pretty high maintenance to me, she is probably doing more damage than good, somehow I doubt that blaming the coach is going to help get a clean release from the letter of intent. Nevertheless, I sure hope the guy lands at UCLA. I volunteer to call them on a monthly basis, to tell them how much we want them.
Double, Morgan is not yet a student at LSU so they cannot stop him from going somewhere once he is released from the LOI.
Does he have grades for UCLA and has he taken the SAT 2's?? He seems ok, but I think I rather have Luc at PF and Gordon at C. Gordon is much more mobile and athletic, and only an inch smaller.
