Luc's parents coming
UCLA junior power forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute's parents will see him play in person for the first time. His mother is in San Antonio, and his father is on the way. I talked to Luc about it today, and will have more in tomorrow's paper.
Luc said Wednesday they were not coming, but he received surprising word Thursday that they were both trying to make the trip.

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.

As a parent who has a daughter that plays D1 softball I know it means a lot to have the parents at a game.
It's extra special for Luc as this will be his first. Hope it inspires him to greater heights.
Thank the LORD. I'm soooooo happy for the kid. He'[s such a great person. I hope he doesn't feel nervous or get stage fright. Instead, I hope this motivates him to step his game up to another level. I hope he makes his parents stay until Monday. GO LUC!!!! GO BRUINS!!!!
