Healed psyche
UCLA DE Bruce Davis said the defense's mentality is fine after losing to Notre Dame last week, but he was upset about the Bruins not forcing turnovers.
“We’re good. We took a loss last week, but, hey, we dominated in our loss,’’ Davis said. “It’s unfortunate we lost the game the way we did. I have said that we didn’t get as many turnovers as we should have. When a freshman quarterback comes in the game, you’ve gotta get the football.’’

"...we dominated in our loss"
Just let that sink in a bit. What an outstanding quote from the big mouth.

I'm not a big fan of the talking, but Davis is right about the defense. The defense did dominate. Only gave up a total of 140 yards. Other than the points off turnovers, ND only had one offensive "drive" of 40 yards for their only offensive points (FG) of the game. He's lamenting the fact that we didn't get any takeaways on D. It certainly would have helped balance the 7 we gave away.

Brad - don't you mean the 17 that we gave away. We had an interception throw deep in our own territory returned for a TD, we had a fumble, again inside what the ND 5 taken in from 3 yards out, and we had the fumble recovered at our own 1 (Olson's) that resulted in a FG only.

Hey Bruce,
Do us all a favor and shut your piehole! Your most memorable play of the game was when you about ripped that RB's head off with that unsportsmanlike 15 yard personal foul facemask penalty. Newsflash: THE ND OFFENSE, with the exception of the Purdue game averaged 150 yards per game. Actually Bruce, you had a pretty AVERAGE game considering the team you LOST to. SHUT YOUR MOUTH BRUCE and play clean!
