PROFILE

This is Brian Dohn's fifth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.

Great. Another major televised beatdown. Almost wish this one was on Versus.

Brian,

Thank you for your excellent work. I have been following UCLA football as an ardent supporter since the mid-1960s. I had supported Dorrell even up to the beginning of this season, notwithstanding his major losses and inconsistencies through the first four years--even writing to him personally, twice. But now he has to go, no ifs or buts, the offense has just slipped into absolute ineptitude. The defense is excellent, thanks to Walker, as you mentioned. Dorrell must go, he has ruined a team once known for offensive power and skill.

Good stuff. As for the Cal game, do you happen to know what time UCLA's team will take the field? Hopefully it will be @ 12:30 as well.

Brian,

do you know what game(s) get the coveted 5 p.m. primetime slot?

Brian,
I always look forward to your timely comments. I am a long time Bruin fan (60 years). My support has never waivered. I am So disappointed with this years team. Where's the spark; the passion? Not with Dorrell or the new OC. There is NO spark anywhere. The offense has been out of synch all year. Everyone seems confused. Cowan is the spark we need. Olson has been outplayed by every QB we've played. Look to the top (HC and OC). No fire there or on the field. Embarrasing. When will the players figure this out and take charge like they did against SC last year?

"Great. Another major televised beatdown. Almost wish this one was on Versus!"

Thank you BruinBry, you've made my day!:)
