PROFILE

This is Brian Dohn's fifth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.

Price to suit up Saturday

I just talked to Brian Price after his press conference at UCLA, and he said his is be eligible to play Saturday against Washington. The reason being is UCLA checked with the NCAA, and since Price did not practice yesterday, he will have an individual practice today. It will count as one of the four more he needs before the game.
"Coach (DeWayne Walker) said he was going to suit me up for Washington,'' Price said.

Can we expect that he'll play much. He has the brute strength and talent to be effective, but will Dorrell deem him to be too far behind to play?

it's not dorrells call. its walker's.
