Olson's pick
UCLA QB Ben Olson said his third-quarter interception was a bad play on his part. UCLA was down 14-12, but in field goal range when he tried to force a ball to Brandon Breazell.
"I don't know if I needed to settle down after the pick, but I made a bad throw there,'' Olson said. "I was trying to make something out of nothing. It's one of those things I'm not happy that it happened, but the game wasn't very clean on our part. We made a lot of mistakes that you can't do, but we came through.''

BO did better than I expected this game and I think he can gain confidence by playing ND next week heading into tough games v Cal, Oregon, SC, and ASU

For a few moments throughout the game, we saw what BO was capable of. If the OL could just give him a bit more time and if we could stop with those ridiculous backward screen passes and focus more on mid-range passes, I think BO could thrive in this offense.

Perhaps recognition of his mistakes, is the first step to him fixing these errors.

the QB performance was not good. there was no success until the end of the game, after Brazeal, the defense, and the special teams made plays. what did BO do prior to that? telegraph his passes? throw off his back foot? play for himself? watch him play and wait for the after game interview. what's gonna happen when the offense needs to set the tone against a real team? we need a real team leader at critical momets, not a 4th quarter TD pass when the game is already settled.
why so much love for BO Brian? I read about PC and missed throws, does not BO do the same? does PC play for interviews? does BO play for the team or sit out with injury? does PC have innate qualities that will improve? does BO have textbook qualities that lack football intangibles?
great game Bruins, we beat them in all three components of the game, eventually. now lets try we can get players on the field we can trust, no matter what
