PROFILE

This is Brian Dohn's fifth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.

No success vs. UCLA

When Oregon State coach Mike Riley was an assistant at USC from 1993-96, the Bruins were 4-0. During Riley's two stints as the coach of the Beavers, he is 0-4 against UCLA.
"I knew somebody would notice that,'' Riley said. "(Including) four years at 'SC, if you can believe that, and never won. How 'bout that? So, yeah, hopefully, it's about time."

One to consider this year is he won't have a hyped up Matt Moore eager to prove UCLA wrong and then go out and throw picks left and right. The Beaver QB will be a little more level-headed this year. (And its in Corvallis.)

Yeah, the OSU QB is so "level-headed" that he is tied for the nation's lead in picks @ 9....I would rather face Canfield rather than Moore in Corvallis.

Bruins 24
Beavs 13

Their current QB leads the NCAA in interceptions, I believe. So maybe he will throw picks left and right.

PF55 we always knew you were a b-RUIN.....why are'nt you posting on the SC site lately????
no much to say??
Good luck this season with your M.A.S.H. unit QB group
