Boy the candidates for her seat are coming out of the woodwork. Gil Cedillo has his office set up in El Monte and started the automated phone calls. I'll bet he needed Mapquest to find El Monte.
Thanks Cedillo, but no thanks. Go back to Los Angeles. You don't even live in the district. We don't want a "carpet bagger." Really....we don't!
Cedillo's Senate district covers a portion of the Congressional district.
Don't get to caught up on an where a candidate "hands his hat".....Look at what each candidate has to offer.
If you want to get technical both Chu and Cedillo actually live in Sacramento where they both spend most of their time.
Anon 2:57 pm: Actually, no. Cedillo might live in Sacramento, since no one I know from Alhambra and San Gabriel (the only cities of his district in the SGV that are remotely close to the 32nd) has ever seen him at an event there. Chu, however, manages to stay close to her roots and make it to event after event in the SGV, whether it's Industry, West Covina or her hometown of Monterey Park, on a weekly basis, despite representing all of LA County AND having to make it to Sacramento for board hearings. And she was doing this well before her declaring her candidacy for Solis' seat. If you ask me, she's one of the hardest working folks in politics and sincerely cares about and connects with her constituents.
Yeah don't get hung up on that little legal requirement that an elected official reside in the district they seek to represent..
Instead, do look at what each candidate has to offer....like Cedillo who has NOTHING to offer. A career politician who only cares about his own interests and wealth.
Judy Chu is the best candidate in this race. She knows the needs of San Gabriel Valley. Cedillo has never shown a concern or interest in any one city. Chu lives in her house and pays property taxes like all of us do. We are well aware of who is where. She has been a positive difference through out all the assembly district, when she served. Cedillo won't fool us one bit. He is cut out to serve special interest groups. Too bad the other dude is from LA too. They both should stay in their cities. Let's see "IF" they really care about their own city. Clean up your own neighborhoods first.
