Goossen-Brown Picks Up Two Wins Over Chaminade In One Week.

On Friday night Sherman Oaks Notre Dame defeated Chaminade 6-5 in 8 innings, RHP Josh Goossen-Brown closed the 8th inning to capture the win.

Goossen-Brown also had a run scoring double and scored twice, including a delayed steal of home in the second.

Earlier in the week on Tuesday, Goossen-Brown started the game completing 6 innings (1Run,3 Hits,5K's,0 BB) and turned over a 3-1 lead to the closer.

Goossen-Brown was asked to come back in to "save" the game in the 7th inning with the score now 3-2, with no outs, the tying run on 3rd, and the go ahead on 1st. Two pitches later the game was over.

Goossen-Brown's first pitch produced a 4-4-3 double play (nicely crafted by 2nd baseman Casey Ryan while holding the runner at 3rd). His second pitch produced a ground out to first.
