HS FOOT: 14 offers and counting for Oaks Christian QB Montana

| | Comments (0) |

It's hard to remember a local prep quarterback with as many early scholarship offers as Oaks Christian quarterback Nick Montana, who already has 14 DI offers heading into his senior year next season.

Among those bidding for Montana's services are Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska and Stanford. Interestingly, USC and UCLA have yet to pull the trigger.

Montana is the son of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana, so there is plenty of value in the Montana name. As a junior, the son passed for 2,052 yards (55.2 pct.) and 33 TDs with just seven INTs. He also rushed for three TDs, as Oaks Christian finished 14-0 and won its record sixth consecutive Southern Section championship.
