Boys Basketball: Chaminade has star in the making

| | Comments (0) |

Chaminade of West Hills may have a player to replace Long Beach St.-bound Jules Montgomery next year.

Gilles Dierickx is an intriguing prospect that is developing rapidly according to coach Todd Wolfson.

Wolfson sent over some useful information on his budding star.

Name: Gilles Dierickx
Born: Ghent, Belgium

Height: 6'9 ½

Weight: 185

School: Chaminade

Club Team: Team Chandler

Current Grade: 10th

Gilles is emerging as a true talent. He has only been in the United States for 4 months and has been to Denver and Las Vegas at basketball tournaments. He chose to come to America to try and improve his game and to play basketball in college. Gilles has a very good jump shot and is improving on his inside game (dunking with ease). He is slender like Jules Montgomery but is currently working out in the weight room every day. Gilles has already gained 15 pounds in these 4 months, and we are excited about next season and what he brings to Chaminade Basketball.
