Leibin named football coach at Thousand Oaks High

Mike Leibin is the new head football coach at Thousand Oaks High, replacing Mike Sanders, who resigned last month.

Leibin, who lives in Thousand Oaks, has workied as an assistant at Westlake at various levels over the past 12 years, including the past seven seasons as the varsity defensive coordinator.

"He beat out a strong group of applicants. We definitely think Mke is one of the top up-and-coming football guys in the Conejo Valley," Thousand Oaks athletic director Jason Klinger said. "He's committed to putting the best football product on the football field, and he's also committed to cultivating our young athletes to be not only outstanding athletes but outstanding citizins with strong academic goals. He beat out a strong grouptop up and coming football guys in Conejo valley. Committed to best football producton on f field plus cultivating our young athletes to not only outstanding athletes but outstanding citizines with strong academic goals."
