09[1].jpgAssemblyman Bill Emmerson on Tuesday participated in "Operation Gobble" by distributing turkeys to families in need throughout the Inland Empire for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Operation Gobble is a charitable program organized by the Fontana Water Company during the holiday season.

The turkeys are provided to churches and other charitable organizations for distribution to local families.

"It's a privilege to partner again this year with the Fontana Water Company to help families in our community, especially during these tough economic times," Emmerson said.

"Thanks to their generosity, 150 turkeys will be given to those in need this Thanksgiving."

This is the fifth year that Emmerson has participated in "Operation Gobble."

Emmerson is a Republican who represents the 63rd District, which includes Rancho Cucamonga, Upland and part of north Fontana.
