Property tax drop to mean $750 savings

Already thinking about how to spend that promised federal tax rebate check?

Well, even more good news could be on the way for some Los Angeles County homeowners as Assessor Rick Auerbach announced Tuesday some will get an average $750 trimmed off their annual property tax bills.Troy Anderson in the Daily News.

The good news could be bittersweet, however, as the savings come amid a declining real estate market that has sapped home values as much as 30percent compared to a year ago.
