There were a lot of cool things in the world to impress this child of the 80s. Transformers. WWF wrestling. Global thermal nuclear war. And Pakistan's Benazir Bhutto, seeping sophistication and style. I had a young crush on Benazir.

A few years back in romantic Lahore, a few hours' drive from the very Pasadena-like Islamabad, I was invited to a Muslim League rally. Ousted President Nawaz Sharif's former veep was among those making impassioned speeches about restoring democracy in Pakistan and challenging Gen. Pervez Musharraf's autocratic rule.

They didn't have many nice things to say about Bhutto. But that was as much rivalry with her hometown of Karachi and the rightful indignation many proud Lahore residents have for that city's "undeserved" cosmopolitan reputation.

Anyhoo, they did hold a much greater enmity -- along with many Bhutto fans I met -- for Gen. Musharraf's rule.

Benazir was corrupt to the bone. Same old third world lies and corruption...just with a pretty face andblow job lips. Her time has passed and she never would have been accepted by the radical muslims. She was a fantasy of our State Department. Wake up and get real. If we don't start actively undermining Muslim extremist culture then we are going to war. The Paki security services have already been infiltrated. Those Paki nukes are going to get used on Los Angeles with Chinese help. Prepare for the Sixth Crusade.

I’m also shocked by her death. She was such a beautiful lady. There is just one thing that I heard, and if it is true, then I think she made a mistake-although we all make mistakes in our life. After June 4th Massacre in Tiananmen Square, the UN was trying to pass a resolution to condemn China. Ms. Bhutto, then Prime Minister of Pakistan, was among the few world leaders who strongly against it, and said: which country does not have a riot? Which government should not have the authority to suppress a riot?(something like that.) As a result, the resolution didn’t get passed.

and she was killed in Pindi by an unusually effective assassin who actually hit her in face and neck and then blew himself up. It's a military hit. What we need their now is a military coup so the muslim extremists don't gain control...otherwise we are going to be fighting there with the Indians when they nuke India. Time to send in the fat white guys with suitcases full of cash plus we need to get those sats that provide wireless internet access into place pronto so we can beam in free porn to the whole muslim world. Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick and Brianna Banks can save us if we will just trust them. Plus give them their MTV...that will really screw them up.

it actually came to a huge shock for me hearing this in the morning I definitely don't think this kind of news should ever be told to me at eight in the morning by prez bush. I think its a huge loss for the world and it just comes to show us the strength of the Islamic extremisist. I agree with the person above that in order to prevent these extremists to come to power they must have a military coup. Its the only way. Like I said, i am extremely saddened by the loss of Bhutto.
In the David Frost interview taped just after the previous assassination attempt, Bhutto mentions Omar Sheikh as having killed Osama Bin Laden. ? Osama dead? Isn't that a problem for Bush et al? Sheikh was sentenced to death for the murder of Daniel Pearl. Did she misspeak? Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIO8B6fpFSQ

"Those Paki nukes are going to get used on Los Angeles with Chinese help. Prepare for the Sixth Crusade." Really? Sheesh A tragedy no matter what you may have thought of her politics. So do we continue propping up Musharraf with our tax dollars?
