Liza with a Z visits "The View"

Her live show a smash, a new CD out, Liza Minnelli is having her best comeback in years - even better than the one she had when she was married to that sad and strange man David Guest. Remember how he kept saying in interviews: "Liza lost 100 pounds." ? Anyhow, Liza is back and better than she's been in at least a decade. Here are some clips from her recent appearance on "The View."

After she performs, she sits down for a chat with the girls (no Elisabeth Hasselbeck today, thank God) and Barbara Walters shows a photo of the first time she met Liza - it was in the 60s and Walters was interviewing Liza's mom, Judy Garland.

As the photo of Liza and Judy was shown on a screen, Joy Behar cracked: "Gay men everywhere are going crazy right now."

Damn right.
