Happy 30th Birthday to Clay Aiken...

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,clay30.jpgThere was a time, not that long ago, when Clay Aiken's birthday would have been ignored by this blog. But that was in the "my personal life is none of your business" era, before he appeared on the cover of People magazine earlier this year confirming what the world pretty much assumed: he is gay.

Clay also became a father for the first time this year and said he wanted to set an example for his son about living a life without lies. So happy birthday to the the "American Idol" runner-up (season two) who is a bigger star than just about any of the winners of that singing competition. He's currently appearing on Broadway in "Spamalot" and I hope there's some extra applause after each of today's show for the birthday boy.

I love Clay no matter what, but I came to hear his voice, yes I am disappointed to actually know that he is gay but to each his own. His voice is truly underrated as he is by far the best voice that has come out of AI.
To bad the radio stations do not play his music. This I do not understand! There is junk out there on most radios, a great voice like Clays comes along and he is not even given the respect and we the public want to hear his voice on the airways.
Even now at Christmas I want to hear selections from his wonderful Christmas CD but no! What is wrong with the DJ'S of today?
