Harry Hamlin supportive of gay marriage...

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hamlin.jpgWhen I saw Harry Hamlin at last night's Los Angeles Confidential Magazine party, I wanted to get his thoughts on Proposition 8 which seeks to ban same-sex marriage in California. Hamlin, after all, starred in the breakthrough film "Making Love," the 1982 release in which he played a gay man who becomes involved with a married guy played by Michael Ontkean.

"I'm definitely voting no on Proposition 8 for a myriad of reasons," he said. "Not the least of which is we have to look ultimately to our constitution which never has taken any rights away from anyone and this would be a step toward taking rights away if it were to pass.

"It's appalling to me that in this day and age, there would be forces out there who would want to limit the rights of human beings who are their neighbors and share their community with them. It's appalling."

By the way, today is Harry's 57th birthday!
