Wow. This is a juicy little tidbit I found posted on Towleroad.com.

Singer Wayne Newton - who proved on "Dancing With the Stars" this season that he can hit the right notes of a song, but not so much the steps of a dance - was on "Larry King Live" last night and the Vegas legend told Larry about why his friendship with Johnny Carson ended. It seems that Johnny kept making jokes implying the the Vegas legend was gay.

Fed up, Newton confronted the late Carson personally: "'Mr. Carson,' I said, 'I don't know what friend of yours I've killed, I don't know what child of yours I've hurt, I don't know what food I've taken out of your mouth... but these jokes about me will stop, and they'll stop now. Or I will kick your ass.'"

And that's not all. He went on to tell Larry: "Johnny Carson was a mean-spirited human being. There are people he has hurt that people will never know about. And, for some reason, at some point, he decided to turn that kind of negative attention toward me, and I refused to have it."

Now THAT'S a good interview!
