To "Brother"

A drink is good once in a while!! You are the "ones" that should be drinking!! How many more games will you lose very late in the game.

Disgusting!! I was there on friday. Whittier 28 La Serna 14. Something like that.

Then in only a few minutes they "fall totally apart". Stop giving the ball to #28, give up a TD, an onside kick, and a "Hail Mary" in only a tiny portion of time.

That is not the kids. How many have they lost in a row late in the game? I look at the "box scores" every monday!!!! This makes 4 or 5 in a row== late in the game. That is not the players

There is noone to keep them up late. Sorry but true.

But YOU LOVE IT!!!

To the El rancho coaches, Mr T.Jones is going to run wild on you fools. You wont be able to stop him Lol. It's getting closer!

Flores tore his acl and dislocated his knee on the onside kick this past friday. he is done for the season, and unfortunately, his career. i know their starting receiver #2 Andrew Jackson was having some problems getting along with other players before Friday nights loss. He was suspended for Fridays game and also this weeks game. Flores was actually filling in on the hands team for Jackson.

I am hearing a lot of stories about the SF program & players are any of them true? What is wrong with the QB and also with the RB? Will they be able to go this weekend? Please enlighten me.

sports fan original said:

To Anonymous: Can You Read? Or is it your comprehension? Did you attend Whittier? Is Whittier still scoring low on the state tests? If there students comprehend like you, it is no wonder why the scores were low.

Point: I never put down Coach Mata. I just mentioned the security guard thing. Also, I mentioned the consistent good job he did at Pioneer. He followed (I think) a poor program and made it very respectable.

I apologized for the "big mistake" security thing!! Tht was stupid!!! That is all I could do. Admit I made a big mistake and apologize on these blogs. Maybe I was looking for another "mistake" by the "system". I do not know. I just know it was a mistake and I apologized for it. Your reading/comprehension sucks.

I don't want the baseball job. My business hours do not permit to coach. Too much parental influence. I would be coaching the "Cal Poly Scolinas Way" and the parents may not like that "legends" way. Well they have not liked anything lately.

I want one of those other coaches back; that is what I want!!! I want parents not to rule what is happening because many of them do not know...ssshhh__!! 4 coaches in 4 or 5 years. Well you may think that is good for the players but I know it is not!!!!

And do not place the AD as the important person in all these situations. It is the administration sucking up to parents or just to put it simply: not caring about the thousands of athletes they are supposed to be supporting. I know a couple coaches in the area and they say no one wants to be AD. A lot of AD's have never been successful coaches. They show up at all the games and do ssshhh..... like that.

I did not ever mention "coaching staff". If a new coach ever did come he would need that "staff" very badly. "New concept" New idea"!! is what I suggest. You still cannot read. Where did you get "staff" from. Never mentioned it. Do not try to "expand" my ideas because I will catch you on it!! I can read with a little comprehension. I did state that "change will never occur". Whittier parents do not think the players can win on a consistent basis therefore they never will.

And take the chance of "change". Not!! The powers at be must be ignorant of the four possible results of change:
1. The program improves to a higher quality. Possibly but not likely to reach the "glory years" of the early nineties.
2. The program becomes a consistent CIF qualifier. That is not that far out of reach. A decent improvement would result in that.
3. The program (not the song) remains the same: a stagnant non-improving, moving in neither direction, consistent fourth or fifth place team (once in a while third) of six in the league.
4. Or, the worst case senario, the program regresses to replace Pioneer as the "cellar dwellers"

I am one that believes that Numbers 1 and 2 are possible. You can knock me for that but to no avail. I do not study the Whittier team, but have seen them a few times over the years, and I still think numbers 1 and 2 are possible. Of course number 2 is more likely than number 1. It would take a great staff to reach number 1!

Now if number 3 occurs, then it is the same as the current situation. And if number 4 occurs it makes Coach Scott look like a heck of a coach. Hire him back. He will be the hero.

What is wrong with "taking a chance" when you have thousands of student/athletes at "stake"??? Some of you are scared of this because we all might learn something very important!!

to California: I hope you are not talking too much. It might come back at you on the field!!

C'mon St. Paul we've gone through this before. Yes you can man handle a school where enrollment is only 300 like Cantwell, but then you go up against Big time schools and you look horrible. Even more horrible than Cantwell looks against you. So your point is pointless. LOL. You are having a bad year and need to make everyone be put down like your program. Take it like a man. Your team is horrible. PERIOD!

To: Sports Fan Original,

You talk about the coaching staff at Whittier. Who do you think could bring Whittier back to a championship team? This past summer you talk about the baseball fired. Then talked bad about Coach Mata who became the new coach at Whittier. Whats wrong with you!!! Maybe you should call the AD at Whittier and tell him you want to coach all 3 sports.

Cathedral 4Life said:

Swordsman, if Cathedral is so weak your sister could play LB against them, then why did your punka** school and punkA** coach back out of playing us this year? Sorry losers. St. Paul sux and will always suck.

I don't think either team will be rolling over anyone, although you do owe them one.

You Cal people are getting scary with your posts, your walking the fine line between stupidity & ignorance

The del rio league is weak this year. Watching the games this year is like watching a jv game. and i agree...the player are getting smaller every year.

these teams would have been destroyed by teams just a few years back

Crimson Football said:

California!!: All i got to say to you is 1) Child Please. and 2) Merrrrrrr.
Santa Fe is not overrated. Maybe you are forgetting their victory over D1, Pac 5 team San Clemente?
Lancers took it to them offensively and defensively.

Swordsmen said:

Cantwell you can’t be serious, Cantwell is a winkidinki school no one reads recap on them. And against Cathedral, come on. What happen went you played us? Just remember it was not long ago. My little sister could be a outstanding linebacker against Cathedral.

Anonymous said:

Franco won't get a yard, than QB will have to pass. Our linemen will destroy their weak line. Hum like taking candy from a baby. We're going to eat up that candy QB.

Don said:

California, youre in for an awakening, el rancho is going to roll over you...

California!! said:

We knew SF was overrated, at their own linemen tournament, they were weak. But the scoring and officiating was done by their own coaches. El Rancho will be a cakewalk. We’ll embarrass their coaches and the school again. And to all you Ancich lovers or losers, we’re going to take league and do better than the (SF) buffalo bills of high school football, and go deep into the playoffs and maybe win it.

Anonymous said:

There is this kid from Cantwell they call "Jammer", you will be hearing a lot from this kid. Outstanding linebacker that is an animal on defense. Read the game recap versus Cathedral. If only he had an offense to support his teams defense. James Becerra is the real deal.

sad =( said:

this is sad is it me or do the kids get smaller and smaller every year.....no talent in the del rio league.....hahahah el rancho is abuot as bad as last year and will probably win league i hope they feel good winning league against cupcake teams

Crimson Football said:

Flores was shocked to see 3 or 4 Lancers on his heels every play. This just goes to show that playing a tough preseason will pay off us. Preseason means nothing! League is ours for the taking!!!

Wow! What happen Slime, I guess Amat was too much even-though they didn't play well. I guess they weren't looking at you but threw you. They got bigger fish to fire, guppies aren't filling enough.

Great Win Condors! Let's limit the penalties on the offensive line and start counting those called back touchdowns. You are going into your seventh game, start playing like it! Dicipline gentelmen! TJ is working hard for you guys, now start rewarding him! Three called back rushing touchdowns is not Condor football. You may have been able to get away with this against Whittier but El Rancho is not Whittier. El Rancho will hurt you if you don't mind your business.
TJ , great game! 195 yards rushing and 3 TD's is very nice. Keep working hard! Now for the kick off team, you played terrible. Tyler will not always kick them in the end zone. When he doesn't get the touchback run down and hit someone. Quit playing like victims of a crime. Condors, your best has yet to come! It's the little things done right that make Champions! Pay attention to the details. Go Condors!

Large Bird: I am not sure what you mean about enrolling at Cal, but it will never happen!! You see, the parents and adminisistration at Whittier have proven that they love what is happening with the Whittier Football Program!!

As far as I am concerned they ignorantly believe that the Whittier players are not good enough to win on a consistent basis!! "The kids are just not talented" is how they feel. I understand that Coach Scott is a great guy; a great person who sincerely cares about his players.

The parents at Whittier have proven their power by having the last two baseball coaches fired. That is word of mouth but I believe it!!

It has been what, thirteen years or maybe seventeen years since Whittier's GLORY DAYS UNDER FITCH? "Glory Days" refers to Whittier reaching the CIF SEMIS and FINALS in two successive years. What was that 91 and 92 or 90 and 91? Also the three straight league championships (were they even in a tougher league then (Bell Gardens, etc)?? Since that time, what, maybe 1 CIF victory?

We will never find out the "truth" about the "talen" because noone will ever be given the chance to coach that program. They love him and he will not step down and let someone else try!!

To SP Alum said:

And we beat your ass two years ago when you won that small division championship. 38-6!

sports fan original said:

I could not believe my eyes!! La Serna beat Santa Fe right in front of me!!

Then on the way home I was thinking, and realized why?

Those Santa Fe players have been on these blogs all week suggesting playing La Habra next year to see who is the best team in the area!! Instead of thinking about La Serna, the team they must beat on friday, one game at a time, they are talking about La Habra. Comparing San Clemente scores, figuring they are better than La Habra because they beat San Clemente by more points than La Habra did!!

Well, again, I must say that my philosophy that "TALK IS CHEAP" has again showed to be true. I believe Santa Fe showed up tonight thinking they just had to show up to beat this sub-par La Serna team....well it does not work that way.

As far as I am concerned that is the only way La Serna could have beaten Santa Fe!! Santa Fe has "TRIPLE THE TALENT" that La Serna has. There was only one way, ONLY ONE WAY La Serna could beat Santa Fe this year, and that way occurred: Santa Fe thought they would win without FOCUS!!

I love it!! Great job Beltran and crew!!

Art franco from ER is the best back in the league, hes has 800+ yards after 6 games while sharing the ball with another two backs. his avg is 8+ ypc. EL RANCHO WILL WIN LEAGUE. I bet murray is crying right now that his chiefs lost.

you know what amat, ok you won, its about time your doing something, your making a little noise the last two years. your schools has been down for more than 15 years. we won a CIF ring just two years ago. you nothing!!!!!!!!!!

St. Paul always collapses when the occasion comes up is a better statement and Amat knows it and laughs at them. By the way Amat faithful have been laughing it up at the way your team has handled adversity. Blaming refs, coaches, even principles. How sad your program has become. anyhow this is the final score. Amat 42 St. Paul 6
two field goals. not touchdown.

Whittier your #1 fan, sport fan original lol, knows you're going to get killed !!!! One running back, wow. Next year, the every few good so'so players you have can enroll at Cal. Just ask sport fan original lol. Coach Scott still can't fill the shoes of Fitch.
