End of first period
Kings 1, Sharks 0
A fine period for Jason LaBarbera, who stopped 14 shots and helped kill two penalties. The Kings put five shots on Nabokov but beat him once, on the power play.

Labarb played a great first period.
We need to stop giving away the puck in our own some. Other than that, I think the D did a good job of keeping things to the outside.
Great shot by Fro.
Offense looks out of sink, also having problems passing tape to tape. Hopefully they can settle down and be more efficient. Playing with good effort though, that's good to see.
Go Kings!!!!
The Kings are just flat out overmatched, no offensive pressure whatsoever.
Impressed by Moeller and, i must say, Handzus. Johnson looks like our best defenseman despite his involvement in the (?)Plihal(?) goal...
Brown, Koper, and Frolov are there usual excellent selves. The problem, as I thought, is our ability to gain control in our own end and move the puck towards the opposition's net. San Jose is a quality side, however, so it was bound to be a struggle tonite. Still not sure there will be a victory this month...but that's ok, right?
