Delio wins California Amateur

Cal State Northridge freshman Nick Delio (who prepped at Saugus) won the 97th California Amateur at Lakeside today. Delio beat 15-year-old Austin Roberts 7&5 in today's 36-hole final in match play format. Delio was the first alternate and got in the tournament only after a friend suffered an injury and withdrew from the event.
