Who are you again?
Where have I been? It's been a long time since I've sat high atop the Staples Center to watch a game. Well, maybe not that long ago. I was actually here on Monday, when the Kings took on the Oilers, with my four-year-old daughter. She was excited to finally catch a game with her old man this season. Honestly, I think she just wanted to go for the ice cream. I do know that she had a good time, even though I had to hold her for the overtime period and the entire shootout.
But I'm here and raring to go, ready to catch another Eastern Conference team that I've never seen, the Buffalo Sabres. Let's hope the Kings have better luck against the BuffaSlugs than they did against the Coyotes.
So, GMAE ON!!!
Matt Murray has been a Kings fan since the late '80s, when Wayne Gretzky grabbed headlines by defecting to the West Coast. Since then, he has been a card-carrying bandwagon member as the club soared in popularity with their sole Stanley Cup appearance to their position near the bottom of the Pacific. But things are looking brighter, as he is anxious to witness the rise of the new Kings.
