barack in berlin.jpg...if this is the best the GOP can do to criticize Obama:

From a press release emailed today by the California Republican Party:

ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today released its latest web video entitled "Barack Obama Forgot Latin America." The web video points out what was missing from Barack Obama's speech in Berlin as a citizen of the world any mention of a city or country in Latin America. As a citizen of the world, Barack Obama failed to mention a major part of the world.

They forgot to add this crucial part: "neiner-neiner, stoopid head!"

What's next, press releases harping about how he forgot to wear a flag lapel pin? Oh wait, that already happened.

And we all know how accurate polls are, such as this one that said Hillary would beat Obama for nomination (http:/www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/03/14/democrats.poll/index.html

Accurate polls? Baloney and prosciutto! With money you can hire people to sit and phone, phone, phone, phone,phon,pho,ph,p,...at nauseum.

I suspect the only thing many polls tell us these days is that there are still some people who answer the phone no matter who it is that is calling. Caller ID is a wonderful thing.

Actually, if you look at the Gallup poll using ten day data points, instead of daily data points, you will see that Obama has maintained a modest, but consistent lead since the end of the primary season. Moreover, looking at national tracking polls is interesting, but doesn't mean much. The state polls are what matters, as Presidents are elected by state, not by popular vote nationwide. And right now at least, Obama has a significant lead over McCain when you start looking at polls state by state.
