Why our freeways are clogged with cigarette butts ...

| | Comments (1) |

So the namby-pambys who insist on telling other people how to live, or not live, their lives have taken away all the smoking areas in California and left us die-hards (and we will die hard) smokers with nowhere to smoke except our cars.

Then in some sort of expansion of non-smokers' rights, the car manufacturers decided to take away the ashtrays and lighters from their cars. It's like something Voldemort would do to us muggles. Now we have to smoke in our cars with our arms out the windows with our cigarettes and no place to put them after we've smoked them. Consequently, our freeway are covered with cigarette butts, Just read Sue Doyle's article on how bad it's become.

Well, I'm one of those namby-pambys you talk about....

Personally, I couldn't care less if you decide to smoke...hey, those are your lungs and throat...

HOWEVER, when your nasty habit starts affecting other people, I believe I have the right to exercise my politician-given privilege to speak out...

What am I referring too?

How about those frequent (and extended breaks) you smokers get from work to go puff outside? Depending on how much of a hard-core smoker you are, truth is at the end of one day, you have factually worked less than your non-smoking co-workers...

Then you have the issue of the butts being tossed out cars...

The smell...

The health care cost (yes, some of it trickles down to us non-smokers too)....

Need I go on?
