Hard to say.
This has happened with the Dodgers for more than several years. The inability to score runners in scoring position
or just on base.
Fans often blame the hitters but I'm starting to think it's a combination of both.
Sometimes one and sometimes the other.
I always thought sometimes, that when it happens, several times in the same game, a player will have it on his mine and mess himself up or possibly try to hard but good pitching can also stop the clutch hitting.
