One more thing about Ohman

If he arrives in time, he'll make tomorrow's trip to Tucson and pitch in that game.

Since he apparently lives in Mesa, AZ (10 miles away?) it shouldn't be too difficult for him to get to the bus on time.

Unless he had to take a physical or go get new contacts in LA...

The bullpen is now shaping up nicely: Broxton, Kuo, Wade, Mota, Weaver, Ohman. It's the starting pitching that is very suspect. The Dodgers will need what looks like the best offensive line-up in the league with a rotation of Kuroda, Wolf, Billingsley, Kershaw, McDonald. Let's bring Pedro in for a try out.

The starting pitching isn't 'suspect.' Four proven major league starters, one of whom was among the 10 best pitchers in baseball last year (Billingsley) and a top prospect rookie who dominated the minor leagues the last two years (McDonald).

Pedro isn't worth the $5M + incentives when McDonald can deliver the same production at 8% of the cost.

Just b/c Pedro is asking for 5M doesn't mean he is going to get it. He's negotiating. And at his age, he probably doesn't mind missing the start of the season/knows it will be good for him. Remember when Manny asked for 100M+ and 4 years?

Marcel is in love with McDonald. Perhaps too much to be objective, but I hope he's right.

There are some questions (Wolf and everyone else staying healthy/ Kershaw and McD proving they can get deep into games and not straining the hell out of the pen) but if the cards fall into place, the rotation could be very solid this year...

Sorry, Mario, but I am extremely left-brained, and don't get it.

Why should he take number 66?
