Boneless, skinless chicken is $1.79/lb when you buy 5 pounds or more. Vine ripe tomatoes are $.69/lb and 15-ounce bottles of VO5 shampoo and conditioner in select varieties are $.69 each.
Discounts vary by store. To stay on top of grocery sales, check the Tuesday newspaper because that's when the markets distribute their sale flyers.

I look forward to the market ads on Tuesdays. I didn't receive them this week in the Daily News. Were they supposed to come out or did the Labor Day holiday affect them being published?

Not sure why you didn't receive the Tuesday grocery ads. I received mine so I don't think the holiday was a factor. Contact info for the Daily News almost always runs on the bottom of page A4. Customer service is at 818-713-3131. ~Julia
Hi I called yesterday and spoke to the circulation supervisor. I did receive the ads today as promised by him but they were for last week and expired. I called him back and he had someone deliver the ads within the hour. I was impressed for a minute. The ads were the same expired ads for last week. I called and left a message but didn't receive a call back nor the correct ads.
